Heading out on a trip to visit some smaller towns and villages took longer than we originally thought it would. Before we got to our first village, we were introduced to the problem of mud and rock slides in the area. This is a common obstacle facing anyone who wishes to get to the peoples who live in the mountains. At least three times, we found ourselves stuck in traffic waiting for a slide to be cleared. This process could last anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
